Sanya Customs Facilitates Launch of Multi-Port International Cruise Route

On November 12, the cruise ship “Song of Blue Dreams” arrived smoothly at Sanya Phoenix Island from Da Nang, Vietnam, marking the official launch of this international multi-port cruise route covering multiple popular tourist destinations in Southeast Asia.

   This Xiamen-Manila-Boracay-Sabah-Mura-Singapore-Da Nang-Sanya-Beihai route establishes a new maritime tourism corridor linking China with multiple ASEAN nations. It enables Sanya Port to transition from “transit hub” to “direct access” for major tourist ports, significantly advancing cultural exchanges and tourism cooperation among Belt and Road countries while bolstering Hainan Free Trade Port's development as an international tourism hub. 

   “Before disembarking, we were worried about long queues, but customs clearance was surprisingly quick!” remarked passenger Ms. Zhang. “All procedures were completed almost without delay—the experience was excellent!”

   To ensure the smooth operation of this multi-port international cruise route and support Sanya's cruise and yacht industry development, Sanya Customs under Haikou Customs fully implemented ten customs measures to support Sanya's outward-oriented economic growth. By adopting facilitation measures such as “advance declaration,” “disembarkation upon arrival,” and “inspection upon arrival,” customs optimized regulatory processes to achieve “zero waiting time” for vessels upon arrival, significantly reducing clearance time. Additionally, the customs authority has streamlined the supply chain for cruise ship provisions, offering comprehensive support to cruise operators. These efforts contribute to Sanya's goal of establishing itself as an internationally influential cruise tourism destination.
